GISME Leadership Dinner Series

Conversations on Leadership, Markets, Politics, and Ethics

The Georgetown Institute for the Study of Markets and Ethics (GISME) is pleased to announce a new Dinner Series designed to foster thoughtful dialogue between students and distinguished leaders. These dinners provide a unique opportunity to explore the ethical challenges of leading organizations, navigating politics, and working with people — over a shared meal in a restaurant close to campus.

How It Works

  • Students take the lead: Each dinner is student-initiated. Students invite both a leader—particularly from business or related fields—and fellow students to join the conversation.
  • GISME provides the support: We arrange a pre-fixe menu and cover all expenses, so participants can focus entirely on meaningful discussion.
  • A distinguished setting: Dinners are hosted in a private dining room at Brasserie Liberté or Fitzgerald’s / 1789 in elegant spaces well suited for reflection and exchange.
  • Feedback others can learn from: Following the dinner, attendees fill out a short survey summarizing insights from the conversation.

Why Participate?

The Dinner Series embodies Georgetown’s commitment to forming leaders who are prepared not only to succeed but also to navigate the challenges of an ethically complex world with integrity and understanding. These dinners provide:

  • A rare opportunity for close engagement with leaders who have managed complex professional landscapes.
  • A setting to explore ethical challenges in business, politics, and organizational life.
  • A chance to strengthen peer networks while cultivating a culture of dialogue and reflection.

We invite Georgetown students to take advantage of this opportunity to bring together leaders and students for substantive conversations regarding how to navigate real world challenges.
By proposing and organizing a dinner, you can spark conversations that will shape your own development and the understanding of your fellow students.
