Christopher Freiman

Visiting Professor

Christopher Freiman is Professor of General Business in the John Chambers College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University and the Director of Outreach for the Kendrick Center for an Ethical Economy. Previously, Chris was an Associate Professor of Philosophy at William & Mary, where he received an Alumni Fellowship Award for Excellence in Teaching and the Class of 1963 Term Distinguished Associate Professorship of Philosophy.

He is the author of two books, Unequivocal Justice and Why It’s OK to Ignore Politics and his work has appeared in venues such as the Australasian Journal of PhilosophyPhilosophy and Phenomenological Research, Philosophical StudiesThe Journal of Political Philosophy, Social Philosophy and Policy, The Journal of Ethics, Politics, Philosophy, and Economics, and The Oxford Handbook of Political Philosophy.

Freiman was a Visiting Professor with the Georgetown Institute for the Study of Markets & Ethics during the 2023-2024 academic year.
